There Was A Time At The Hollywood Canteen

  In the years 1942 to 1945 there was located in the Area near Hollywood and Vine, California, a place where servicemen in World War Two could come and be entertained. It was started by Betty Davis and funded by Dr. Jules Stein.  It was a place that a serviceman could relax and see a show, dance, eat, and meet movie stars.
